Here is the 5 top office prank submissions so far.
1. Harry Lyon
I work as a paralegal, so as you can imagine, attorneys are ALWAYS looking for new clients. I gave a phone message to my boss with the title Possible New Client, and the persons name was Harry Lyon. However, the telephone number was for the local Zoo. The attorney actually made the call, and asked for Harry Lion. The Zoo's receptionist responded that there was no one there by that name, and the attorney insisted that he had a message to call this number. Finally he caught on. – Leslie
2. Big Dog
A guy in our office went running at lunch. When he was taking his shower, someone snuck in and took all his clothes. In their place, we left some custom "Big Dog" superhero outfit. A red, one piece feetie pajama suit with BIG DOG written on the chest, and a hat with floppy ears on it. He had no choice but to put it on since he had no clothes. Then he had to go on a scavenger hunt around the office to find his clothes. – Valerie
3. Hospital Visit
I used to work in the Emergency Room at a local hospital. There was a security guard there who was annoying and overbearing, to say the least. I worked night shift and he used to come in at 6am acting like he owned the place. Everything we did was wrong somehow and he had an opinion on everything. On April 1st a few years ago, I watched him get the morning coffee brewing and walk away. I walked over to his mug and poured some topical anesthetic (which is clear) into it and then hung out in the back of the room to watch him. He poured his coffee and stirred in some sugar, as usual. About 3 sips in, he started drooling....a few seconds later, he wasn't able to speak. – Jamie
4. Frozen Computer
I saved a picture of my friends desktop with the icons. Then, I deleted all of the icons. Next, I set the picture of his desktop as the desktop background. When he went to click on the icons, they wouldn't work! I wonder why? He thought his computer was frozen and took it to geek squad to get it fixed. He had to pay 50$ to find out that his icons were deleted; that's all! – Katelyn
5. Computer Networking Cable
I was the Computer System Administrator for our office. First, I advised the office that our system was running slow and I was looking into it. Second, I sent another email advising that we'd discovered the network cables were dusty inside, so we needed to blow air though them to clean them out. I warned that keyboard users may feel little puffs of air coming out of their keyboards in the course of the morning.
The next email I sent advised that blowing air through the cables was not helping, so we would be running some hot, soapy water through the cables to wash them out. I told the office that boxes of saran wrap would be placed around the office for users to place over their keyboards so that they wouldn't get squirted with water. At least 5 people covered their keyboards with saran wrap. - Teresa
